Write to your Senators and tell them to Sunset the Tax Code!

The American public recognizes that the current federal income tax system is so complex and so riddled with special deals for special interests that it is inherently unfair and inherently inefficient.

The public NEEDS tax reform that results in a simpler and fairer system.

Please petition your Senators now and urge them to join us in proposing to sunset the Tax Code by January 1, 2020:

PETITION: Please legislatively terminate the US Tax Code as a first step towards meaningful tax reform.

You also have the opportunity to send a personal letter to your Senators explaining in greater detail your frustration with the current system. Suggested text will appear after you sign the petition in the boxes below. The suggested text is completely editable.

Make sure to petition your Representative too. CLICK HERE!

Something so obvious. Don't know why Washington hasn't figured it out for themselves. Of course a complicated tax code with special interest and corporate goodies does buy a lot of campaign contributions.

It's alarming to see that people who happen to earn low wages but are the recipients of an inheritance from a wealthy relative/parent, are taxed heavily on it. I always thought that if anyone is the recipient of such donation, it should be tax free, since it's a DONATION by a tax payer.

The SSA and the IRS lost the W2's that were sent in by my employer and now the IRS claims we all owe thousands of dollars in taxes. Now our lives are going to be a living hell as it may take over a year to resolve. Meanwhile our credit ratings and finances are in jeopardy. This is the fault of the SSA and the IRS So why do we the people have to suffer? ABOLISH THE IRS NOW!

The current tax code is filled with too many loop holes that only a select few can take advantage of. It is too complex to even begin the undertaking of trying to close them all. We need simplicity and transparency in the tax code and the best way to attain that is to blow the current one up and start over.
