I certainly hope that this gets some traction. Too many of our efforts fall flat and we're considered a group of idiot malcontents.

Move the House Resolution to impeach IRS Commissioner John Koskinen Last October a resolution to impeach IRS Commissioner John Koskinen (H. Res. 494) was filed by House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz. By obstructing the congressional investigation into the scandal of IRS persecution of new conservative and tea party groups prior to the 2012 election, Commissioner Koskinen has prevented the facts of the IRS misconduct from being fully exposed and understood. Nobody has been fired. Nobody has been fined. Nobody has been sent to prison. To understand what we know about the IRS scandal and Commissioner Koskinen’s role in obstructing the congressional investigation, you should set aside ten minutes to watch this video made by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee that traces the timeline of the scandal and the continuing cover-up. On May 24, 2016 the House Judiciary Committee held its first hearing on Koskinen’s misconduct as IRS Commissioner. Oversight Chairman Jason Chaffetz and Rep. Ron DeSantis testified on the false testimony and failure to preserve evidence subpoenaed by the Oversight committee and the decision to file the impeachment resolution, H. Res. 494. On June 22, 2016 the Judiciary Committee held its second hearing on the matter, with expert witnesses testifying on what constitutes the constitutional grounds of “high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” The historical record shows that it goes well beyond actual statutory crimes that could be brought into court to include the abuse of the powers of the office and the witnesses agreed. We cannot allow the IRS to be used to silence free speech and to intimidate Americans that oppose the anti-American agenda of the current administration in Washington. Jeffrey L. Hill, D.C. You and your party are against the people. You want to rule US rather than represent US! You have violated your Oath of Office! By definition, you too are a TRAITOR!

Why is this malfeasance being ignored? John Q. Public would have been held for judicial action by this time. Does being a big deal criminal change all that?

Koskinen's arrogance was repulsive. His dereliction of duty, gross negligence, and breach of public trust are more than sufficient for impeachment.

The amount of incompetence this person showed it truly staggering. He can no longer be trusted in good faith as a public servant and deserves not only to be removed from his position, but actually held accountable for his actions.

All government officials, regardless of position held, MUST be subject to exactly the same rules, laws, and punishment as the all the rest of the citizenry. Period. No more, no less. In this case jail time may be called for and not in a vacation type setting – hard labor.
